About the Journal

Al-Bayan University Journal for Legal Studies and Research (BUJLSR) is an academic journal published by Al-Bayan University. It specializes in legal studies addressing contemporary issues of concern to society and contributes to providing research services to researchers at various academic levels. The journal is published annually in four issues. It aims to serve as a platform for the publication of high-quality scholarly research addressing topics that offer practical solutions to societal challenges in Iraq and beyond. The journal accepts research papers written in both Arabic and English in accordance with rigorous academic standards and high-quality scientific principles.

Plagiarism Policy

Proper citation is an essential component of academic work, as it identifies the sources of information used in preparing a research paper and provides sufficient information for readers to locate those sources.

Plagiarism, duplicate publication, simultaneous submission, data fabrication, data falsification, and the improper attribution of authorship or contributions are considered violations of publication ethics.

Plagiarism refers to the unacknowledged use of another person's work, which often results from improper referencing. It constitutes a violation of academic ethics and professional standards.

To prevent such violations, manuscripts submitted to BUJLSR are screened using Turnitin plagiarism detection software. It is important to note that BUJLSR may disregard a similarity percentage of up to 20%.

New manuscripts submitted to BUJLSR are checked using CrossCheck within the editorial system. The responsible editorial board member may generate a similarity report at any stage of the review process or after publication to ensure the originality of the scholarly work.
