Abstract

The importance of foreign private investment and its role in the development process has increased، especially after the significant changes that occurred in the international financial system following the external debt crisis of the early 1980s. Most developing countries have sought to attract this type of foreign resource to finance their projects and address some of their pressing economic problems.

The flow of foreign private capital to developing countries takes two main forms: Direct Investment، in the form of factories، machinery، equipment، and production projects undertaken by the foreign private sector; and Indirect Investment، which takes the form of loans and facilities from banks، commercial companies، or other private entities.
