The impact of electoral systems on the effectiveness of the legislative authority

Abstract

Electoral systems are crucial factors that affect the performance of the legislative branch in any political system. This research aims to explore the relationship between electoral systems and the effectiveness of legislative performance, by analyzing how different electoral designs affect political representation, popular participation, and the stability of governments. Several types of electoral systems will be discussed, such as the proportional electoral system, the majority system.
