General Conference Description
There is no doubt that building a sustainable state capable of facing challenges and adapting to changes in the political, economic, and social environment requires legal and political reforms that enable the state to continue performing its essential functions of maintaining security and stability, ensuring justice, and achieving development.
The conference aims to bring together academics, experts, and practitioners to discuss ways to improve legal frameworks and enhance political maturity, thus contributing to building a sustainable state. The importance of this conference is highlighted by the urgent need for a comprehensive review of legislation and policies, especially after more than 20 years of democratic transition in Iraq. This transition necessitates a reassessment of the effectiveness of current legal and political frameworks to ensure state stability and enhance its ability to address internal and external challenges. The conference seeks to explore possible solutions to enhance good governance, support social cohesion, and achieve sustainable development by adopting a scientific and systematic approach that can transform challenges into opportunities to achieve a more stable and prosperous future for Iraq.
